New "Free There" Memberships Test

We're excited to announce that over the coming weeks we will be testing a new membership plan, otherwise know as "Free There". We are removing what many believe is a barrier to experiencing our world and community: the price.

Of course this will lead to an influx of new members to the world, where we expect many to jump right in to the Community, world, events, and fun of There. We plan to launch this program early next week.

Initially, we were concerned that this would lead to an influx of griefers, but after some thought realized that the new members are much like 3-day trial members, which we already have. Even so, we will be especially alert to any negative impact this might have, and will take measures immediately to ameliorate them.

Like other features you've seen over the past few months, this is a test, and we'll carefully watching the results to see if it should be permanent. The free basic accounts will include Music, but not Voice or the Explorer pack, and will be available to all new incoming members.

We've also simulated the rest of the membership programs by condensing them all in to one new All in One plan. All premium features, like Voice and the Explorer Pack, are included. As a special offer, we're also throwing in bonus Therebucks when you buy Therebucks with your new membership.

If you've recently (within the last 30 days) purchased or upgraded your account, just contact customer service to convert it to the new format.

We expect the new programs will help bring people into There, and, of course, will be watching the test carefully to adjust or tweak it if needed.

We are very pleased to introduce a new section of the forums, Teen Forums!

We certainly recognize that our teen population has grown in There and we wanted to give them a place where they can meet like minds.

The Teen Forums will be broken up into these sections:

1) Teen Buzz - Teens talking about what is going on in There.

2) Teen Connect With There's Member Advisory Board (MAB) - Make your opinions count - communicate with your representatives in There.

3) Teen Advertisements & Announcements - Announce newly released developer products, upcoming events, and news from your favorite corner of There.

4) Teen Rants & Raves - See something cool? Something got your goat? Talk about it here.

5) Teen Off Topic Discussion - A place to discuss topics unrelated to There.

The Forum Guidelines will still be enforced in this new section of the forums.

Did you love the buzz of activities we had with There Games, all the invites you saw pouring in, exciting, creative and welcoming events were plentiful, without the hassle of scouring through the "Happening Now" pages?

Would you like to have exciting invitations brought directly to your activity page in There?   We have found a way to recreate the way There Games was able to fill your schedule page with exciting events every day!

If you are a member that loves to go to quality, warmly hosted events and quests, all you have to do is join this club: There_Events_Invite_List

If you are a host, you probably already know to invite "There_Events" to your invite list, in order for it to be reviewed for There Fun Times publicity, now, there's a club, that will invite members that would like to get that same invite! Now, you can simply click a button and your event will be seen by all those that want to go to stimulating events, those that are exactly who you want to see it and attend your events!

I'd like to reintroduce you to There_Events. This is an avatar that staff has used for a long time to hold deeds or tools for the event host team in the past.   I have decided to wake this dinosaur up so that she can serve us all!

This is a great tool that delivers quality events to your virtual doorstep. All you will have to do is log in, Toolbar>Activities>My Schedule>Events I have been invited to. There you go; a whole page of wonderful events to look through sign up for, not just the Themed Events, but all quality hosted and quest events.

Everyone is welcome to join and invite, but, a bit of a warning too, this club is not for "afk", "skill level up" or "sale events". If you would like to set up a club for invites to those sorts of events, please do so and announce in forums, but it will not be tolerated in this group.

Wonderland Mall Has Been Revamped

We have a great new building made by sassybeme which she donated to Wonderland Mall. Now we really stand in style! DreamWeaver has a building like mine, in a different color.
