As previously announced, we are in the midst of a major operating system and database upgrade for There.com. This process involves migrating all of our AvMan ("Avatar Manager") servers to the new system.

We will be closed for extended maintenance to migrate AvMan 1 and AvMan 2, on Wednesday, October 1st, 2008. 

We will close at our regularly scheduled time for daily maintenance, and will reopen by 4:00pm PDT.  As always, we will open as soon as the cluster is ready.

Typically, we can complete most of the work on the AvMan servers without entirely shutting down the service.   However, AvMan 1 and AvMan 2 contain avatar data, scene data and product data; and as a result, affect all members in There.  Therefore, There.com will be closed for this AvMan migration.
