A Guide to Game Tables

Game Tables let you play cards in There. To use a Game Table, just place it in any house, clubhouse, or zone where you have decorating permissions by going to This Place > Gear > Drop (or Take One Out).

The number of Game Tables you can have in the world at one time is determined by your Fun Pass level. Also, please note that since Game Tables consume more memory than other items, they count as more than one item towards your total drop limit in a particular zone. After you drop a Game Table, be sure to check your This Place menu to see how many items you can still drop in that zone.

Game Hosts

The Game Table's owner is always the host of the game when seated at that Game Table. If the owner is not at the table, the person who sat down first is the host. If that person leaves, the next person who sat down becomes the host, and so on. If a table's owner joins an ongoing game that already has a host, the owner becomes the host. The host of each Game Table has the ability to remove and temporarily ban other players from the game, using commands on players' Action Tags.

Playing a Game

To play a game at a Game Table, click Join Game on the Action Tag for any seat. Your avatar will sit down and an interactive display for that table's game will appear on your screen. To view the rules for a game, click the Rules button on the game display.

Exiting a Game

To exit a game, click Leave on your seat's Action Tag. If you leave a game in progress, your score and other game information will remain. You or another avatar can sit in your place and pick up with your current game information.

Keeping Score

The score and game status is viewable on the game display at any time. Game information is preserved when all players leave or when the table is picked up by its owner. The first person to sit at an empty table that has a game in progress can continue that game or start a new one. If you want to save your game after you and your friends leave, make sure the table is in a secure place where someone won't stumble across it (like your house), or put it back into your inventory.

If there are server difficulties, your game information will still be preserved; however, you might experience a "rollback" to the state of the game up to 30 seconds in the past. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Please note: Game Tables cannot be returned, given, traded, or auctioned. For performance reasons, only four Game Tables are allowed per zone.
