2.28 Release Notes

Sky Pazes
We have made changes to the code so that you can now build a home high in the sky!  The paz that you already own is now a sky paz too!  Just fly more than 500 meters above the ground and drop your paz.. Voila!  Sky Paz!

Here is some Basic PAZ Information and tips to help you get your Sky Paz started:
- Must set deck/floor before dropping sky paz. Drop your paz on land and place a foundation/deck or some other kind of floor  in the paz.  Without this base pre-placed, you will not be able to drop anything, or even stand, in the paz once it is airborne.   (The Invisible dance floor has no collisions, so it will not work as the floor.)
- Must set teleport location before dropping.  Make sure that you set your teleport location for your paz so that teleporting to your sky paz will have you landing on your pre-placed foundation.  Your default landing location may not be over the foundation, and a teleport may result in a long fall.
- Must be >500 meters up to drop. Hop on a hover pack or boat and start climbing.  Until you are at least 500 meters above the ground, you will get the message 'Sorry, too high above nearest surface' if you try to drop the paz.
- Boundary posts do not have action tag when in Sky Paz position. Once you have dropped your sky paz you will not be able to make changes to your paz via the boundary posts.  Refill paz minutes and Hide boundaries are accessible via the This Place menu, and you can retrieve your paz via the My Things menu.

New and Improved FunZones!
This week's client release includes 4 new FunZones:
Alex's Arctic Arena - a new paintball zone on Frosty
Spiritus Speedway - a new race zone on Frosty
Sonblock Speedway - a new race zone on Frosty

We are proud to introduce the new SleepyK Raceway Zone on Comet! SleepyK was a very active member of our racing community.  He worked closely with Makena Engineers to improve ratings and scoring, and we dedicate this new race zone to his memory. Visit the SleepyK zone!

We've also implemented several upgrades to existing FunZones. Here's the list of updates and improvements:

Comet's Benda Beach race zone has been totally revamped and expanded for a better racing experience. Check out the new Benda Beach!

Leaning Palm has been converted from a Park to a Race Zone. Take a spin through the new Leaning Palm zone!

The three Hoverboard Park zones are now available for event hosting! Grab your boards and head on down to:
Hoverboard Park Red Bowl!
Hoverboard Park Blue Bowl!
Hoverboard Park Yellow Bowl!
Samsyn Speedway, Chaz's Chasm  and Mackie's Moonlit Motorway  have also undergone minor terrain edits to help improve the racing experience in these areas.

And finally, the Inferno Lounge has been fixed so that it no longer disappears!  Also, you can now drop music boxes in this hot club. Check out the lounge and book your next event!

To host an event at any of these zones, read the rulebook and sign the kilroy posted at each zone. Enjoy your new and improved FunZones!

While he was at it... TheChaz added some sound zones to Comet Island! It is no longer silent on this beautiful island.

Improved Tips Display
We've changed the Teleport Tips display so that it fits in better with There and the Teleporting screen.  We will continue to add tips to the list as the need becomes apparent.

Emotes changes
By request, we have added 'hu/'hd (a shorthand equivelant to the 'handup/'handdown emotes) to the Team Platform, Stages and 8-seater seating groups.  Now!  Meetings with 2% less typing.

Product & Developer Program changes
We have added new colors to the Santa Hats.
The developer site is upgraded to a 10 textures capability in anticipation of the upcoming Previewer update, which is currently being Beta tested.

Avman Schema changes
We are making changes on the backend that will allow us to serve you better.  You will not see any changes to the service due to these changes.
