Want a home but don't want to be tied down to one place? Pick up a PortaHome and drop it in your PortaZone (or FrontierZone)!

PortaHomes are, as the name suggests, portable homes that you can drop in your Medium or Large PortaZone, or your FrontierZone. They are fully customizable -- you can swap out everything including the ceiling, windows, walls and more -- and come in three sizes: Small (requires at least a Medium PortaZone), Medium and 2-Story (both require at least a Large PortaZone, but a FrontierZone is recommended for the 2-Story). And, for each size, you also have a bunch of different cool styles to choose from!

PortaHomes work like any other object you drop in your PortaZone or FrontierZone -- to drop your PortaHome, just go to Gear in your This Place menu and select "Take Out."

Here are some important things to note about PortaHomes:

Because PortaHomes are such large (memory-hogging) items, they take up 12-20 slots in your zone's drop limit.
- Small = 12 slots
- Medium = 15 slots
- 2-Story = 20 slots
Just as anyone can enter your PortaZone or FrontierZone, anyone can enter your PortaHome when it is out.
You cannot officially schedule events in your PortaHome (although, if you have a FrontierZone, you can set up an event there, and direct people to your home). You can, of course, set up a time and tell your buddies when to head over to your portable pad.
Unless you have a FrontierZone, you pay for the time your PortaHome is in-world via your PortaZone. (You are not charged an additional fee; you're just paying for keeping your PortaZone in-world, as usual.)
Your PortaHome will retain the layout of any furniture and decorations you place in it, as long as you keep it in your PortaZone (or your FrontierZone). If you put away your PortaHome (taking it out of the PortaZone), or if you move it to a different zone, your layout will be cleared.

Customize everything! In each PortaHome, you can swap out the windows, floor, walls, ceiling and wall decor. Any of the Home Improvement items from the catalog or from independent developers can be used in these portable pads. (Note: PortaHomes do not have doors.)

How to Decorate Your PortaHome:

Drop your PortaHome in your PortaZone or FrontierZone. (Go to Gear in your This Place menu, highlight your home and select "Take Out.")
Click "Show Decorate Tags" from your This Place menu.
Walk up to the action tag on the part of your home you would like to change (window, ceiling, wall, etc.) and select a new style from your inventory.
Drop as many pieces of furniture and other items as you like in your PortaHome (via Gear in your This Place menu), up to your zone's drop limit.

NOTE: Unless you have multiple copies of an item, you can only use a home improvement piece, piece of furniture, or decoration in one zone at a time. For example, if you have the Moroccan floor, you can't use it in two different zones simultaneously.
