New Developer Submission Prices
Over the past few months, we've been studying the economics of our developer program, largely as a result of your feedback in the Forums and via the MAB. After lots of work and analysis, we're happy to announce some changes which we think you'll be very excited about:

• We have reduced submission fees.
• We have slashed the submission fees for animated items, which were as high as 50,000T. The new single addon charge for Animation is 4500T.
• We have simplified the submission fee structure to reduce the number of categories from 195 indvidual items to just six: Clothing, KnickKnack, Object Painter, Object Builder, Vehicle Painter, and Vehicle Builder.
• We have dropped prices for small objects, to help create new "knick-knack" objects as small decorative items for your homes and property.

Now, as you know, the submission fee is used, in part, to offset our in-house cost for processing submissions. Much of this price reduction was made possible by improving the efficiency of our process, but part of it had to be offset by a slight increase in listing and reserve fees from 30T to 100T, or from 1 2/3 cents to 5 1/2 cents. Remember that these fees are charged once for each item up for sale, no matter how many of them are sold.

We're also establishing a new category to encourage the development of small objects. We've added a new "Knickknack Builder" category, and set the submission fee at 5,000T, which is almost 50% less than the fees for a builder item. We've also priced the Animated Knickknack at 9,500 T, which puts them at the lowest price point for any animated objects. The KnickKnack Builder category includes the Knickknack Builder, Knickknack Builder Config 3, and the Animated Knick-Knack objects.

We're very excited about these changes, as was the MAB when we reviewed it with them last month. We hope that this new fee structure will make it easier for you to develop and sell items in There, as well as produce new animated and knick-knack items.

We have changed the designation "Anime" to "Animated" for the sake of clarity.
