This handy map tool uses the Google API to render a detailed and current view of There’s 3D world. If you’ve used Google Maps you’ll notice a familiar interface. Go on – click around and try it out! Here are some quick tips to get you started:

• Click the + and - buttons to zoom.
• Click the arrow keys or drag with your mouse to scroll.
• Click Legend items to display place details.
• Quick Links let you jump to close-up views of a single island with one click
• Click the icons on the map to view information about each place

A few other things to note about There Maps:

You can browse the maps at http://webapps.prod.there.com/gmap/index.html whether you’re logged in or not, however, you must be logged in to see the “You Are Here” icon and the “Where’s Everyone” indicators.

When you’re logged in, you can teleport to places at your permissions level by clicking the “Teleport to This Place” link in each place’s info window. If you don’t see a teleport link, it means that you can’t teleport directly there.
