ForceField is an invisible, protective shield that surrounds you, and prevents objects such as vehicles and paintguns from knocking you down in There. - ForceField is on by default when you arrive in There.
- You can change your ForceField settings at any time by clicking There > Customize > World, and checking or unchecking the ForceField option.
- ForceField affects vehicle-to-avatar collisions, and weapons hits.
When you have ForceField on, and your avatar collides with a vehicle, the logic in our physics system will determine who was trying to hit whom. If you run into a vehicle, you will bounce off the vehicle. If a vehicle runs into you, it will bounce off of you. When an avatar has ForceField on, weapons hits will have no effect on that avatar. However, you cannot fire a weapon if you have ForceField on.
Event hosts can specify ForceField Off for a FunZone event. House or clubhouse renters can specify ForceField Off for their houses/clubhouses.
If you are summoned into a FunZone, house, or clubhouse that requires your ForceField to be turned off, and your ForceField is on, your ForceField will automatically be turned off. If you elect to stay, you will need to turn your ForceField back on manually (via the Customization menu) after you leave the FunZone, house, or clubhouse.
