Neighborhood Owners, are you interested in bringing more traffic and potential renters into your Neighborhood Community? Put your Neighborhood in the spotlight for all of There to see! It’s easy to have your Neighborhood Zone included in the “Featured Neighborhoods” rotation on the main page of There Central.
Please read and follow the instructions and send the following information to hoodpics@thereinc.com:
1. Neighborhood Owner’s Avatar Name: The requesting avatar must own the Neighborhood in rotation. Only the Leader of the Neighborhood can submit a request.
2. Name of Neighborhood Zone: If you change the name of the Community you must immediately send in a request to change the name on the Featured Neighborhood rotation.
3.Link to Neighborhood Zone: To find the link of your Neighborhood, stand directly in the Zone and on your menu bar click This Place> Info About Neighborhood Name. Copy and paste the address in the browser window of the Neighborhood Details page. Do Not submit the link to your Neighborhood Club. Do Not submit a Go To link.
4. Screen shot of Neighborhood Zone: The screen shot must be of your Neighborhood Community in the virtual world. Do not send copyrighted photos or real life pictures. Submit the screen shot in JPG format with a 518 x 460 pixel dimension. Photos submitted in formats other than JPG and the listed dimensions will be rejected. Please send the photo as an attachment in your email. Do not send a link to an outside photo hosting site.
Make sure to include “Featured Neighborhood and the name of your Neighborhood Zone” in the subject line of the email request.
DO NOT SEND IN A REQUEST IF YOU PLAN TO SELL YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD ZONE WITHIN 3 WEEKS OR LESS OF THE REQUESTING DATE.
If you plan to change the name of your Neighborhood Zone then it is the Owner’s responsibility to send in a request to update the information. There will be a limit of 2 information change requests per featured rotation. If you plan to give or sell the Neighborhood Zone to another avatar you MUST send in a request to remove your Neighborhood Zone from the Featured Neighborhood rotation. Make sure to insert Featured Neighborhood Removal and the name of your Zone” in the email subject line. Send removal request email to hoodpics@there.com.
Please follow the directions provided in this article. If any of the information sent in is incorrect the request will not be processed.
Please note that if your Zone includes any content that might be considered inappropriate, objectionable or that violates the There.com terms of service or behavior guidelines your community will not be included in the Featured Neighborhood rotation. If inappropriate or objectionable content is added after your inclusion in the rotation has been processed your listing will be removed from the rotation.
Once approved, the Featured Neighborhood request will take up to 10 – 12 business days to process. The request has to filter through three departments in order to be added to the rotation.
Once your Neighborhood’s information has been added to the rotation, visitors to the Places Page will see a thumbnail picture of your Neighborhood along with a link to the Neighborhood and a link to the Neighborhood Owner’s Profile Page. Every time the ThereCentral Page refreshes a new Neighborhood will be highlighted. The rotation is random and does not display in any specific order.
