What can you do when the Griefer Gremlin strikes? Here are some suggestions...

Chat in a chat group:  Avatars in a chat group cannot be moved around by buggies, boards, or paintballs.

Use Your Forcefield:  If an avatar is pummeling you with paintballs or ramming you with his hoverboard, use your forcefield. To turn it on, click your nametag and click enable Forcefield.  You can also click There>Customize>World and be sure the forcefield is checked. When the force is with you, you will have a golden halo around your nametag and the griefer will not be able to bash you. Caution! Some race tracks and zones will automatically turn off your forcefield when you enter.  Be sure to turn it back on when you exit.

Go to a Protected Area:  If you are being followed, you can go to a home or funzone.  You, or a friend who is a premium member, can make an event.  Hosts of events have the ability to remove griefers from the event, and people on their ignore lists will not be allowed in.

Ignore:  When you put an avatar on your ignore list, they will be unable to IM you or email you.  When they speak to you in chat bubbles or in group IM boxes, you will only see a pattern of vertical lines.

Teleport away:  If an avatar will not leave you alone, you can teleport to another location.

Report to abuse:  If an avatar is intruding on your fun by using inappropriate language or spamming your conversation, you can capture that chat and send it to the abuse team via Help Central.

One method of documenting the situation is by taking a screenshot showing the griefer's avatar nametag and his chat bubbles. You can also find chatlogs in the There Program File.  [C: Program Files/There/There client/Chatlogs]  Find the file containing the offensive chat and send that to abuse.

Moderators:  Your Help>Live Help button offers you a way to contact the  abuse team directly. They are online for many of the There prime time hours. You will be able to chat with a There Helper who can assist you with your problem. 

Help make There a fun place for everyone. Stamp out the Griefer Gremlin, even that little part of him that might live inside you! 'wink!
