Earlier this week, we had planned to migrate AvMan 9 and AvMan 18 as part of our ongoing operating system and database upgrade for There.com. The AvMan 9 migration completed successfully, but it became necessary to postpone the migration of AvMan 18.

On Wednesday night, December 3rd, we will begin work on AvMan 18 at approximately 10 PM Pacific time.

We can complete the work on AvMan 18 without shutting down the whole service. However, AvMan 18 does contain avatar data. As a result, this will have an impact on some members. AvMan 18 will be offline during the maintenance period, so if your avatar's home is on this server, you will be unable to log in.

It is also possible that other members whose avatars do not live on AvMan 18 will be affected. For example, if you have inventory items that live on this server, you will be unable to access them during this period. (Note: there is no way for us to be able to tell you where your specific items are located on our servers. If you find that you are unable to use something in your inventory during this time, our maintenance work is the most likely cause.)

Only AvMan 18 will be taken offline, but we will restart the whole system if the work is completed before 3am Pacific.
