ThereCare > IM Availability Status

You can appear to others in There as either available or unavailable to communicate via IM (instant messaging). Your availability status is shown in the lower right of your in-world menu bar, next to your IM icon. To change your availability, click the IM icon and select from the following set of options:

Available: all There members can initiate an IM with you.
Away: There Members cannot initiate an IM with you, and receive a message that you are not currently available. Note: this displays automatically if you're browsing web pages, or your computer remains idle.
Do not Disturb: There Members cannot initiate an IM with you, and receive a message that you are not accepting IMs.
Buddies Only: Only There members on your buddy list can initiate an IM with you, all other There members see your status as Do Not Disturb.
Offline: Indicates that you are not logged into There.
Blue clock (icon): Availability status for this avatar is temporarily inaccessible.
