Despite our best intentions, it's apparent that our announcements and posts about "Free There" have been confusing, and in some cases, contradictory. To clear things up, we've removed all of the old posts on this topic by There and it's employees, and are replacing it with what we hope is one simple explanation. I apologize if you find the language that follows a bit terse, but we are aiming for clarity here.
During this test, ALL prior memberships plans are replaced with two lifetime plans, with the exception of Beta Lifetime Memberships. The two plans are:
- A FREE Basic membership, which includes the Music pack. This plan is FREE, and it is a lifetime plan
- A Premium membership, which includes Voice, the Explorer pack, and Music pack. This plan costs $9.95 and is a lifetime plan.
We will be upgrading ALL paid memberships to our new Premium Membership this week. There's no need to call us to do this, we'll be implementing this change automatically. Since we've had many types of paid memberships over the past few years, there are three special cases which are described below. ALL other paid memberships will just be converted to Premium Memberships.
The three special cases are:
1) If you have an existing Monthly Membership which includes a monthly Therebucks purchase, we will transfer your membership to the new Premium Membership free of charge. Your automated monthly Therebuck purchases will continue. If you would like to stop your automated monthly Therebuck purchases, please send an e-mail to help@there.com.
2) If you previously had a paid membership and already paid $9.95 to upgrade to the new Premium Membership, we will credit your account with 18,000 T.
3) If you have an existing Beta Lifetime Membership, nothing changes. You retain your Lifetime membership and all of its privileges. These changes will automatically occur in the next few days, so there is no need to contact us directly.
We'd like to thank everyone in the community for all your continued support, and look forward to seeing you in There!
Sincerely,
Michael Wilson
