You can exchange gifts and objects with other There members. Give your best friend a new hoverboard for his or her birthday, or thank someone for a favor with a new t-shirt. You can also trade and swap stuff with another There member. Giving
Note: Only Premium Members may give items to each other.
- From My Things menu (located on the menu bar along the bottom of your screen), mouse over the item you wish to give and select Give.
- An information window will pop up and prompt you to identify your giftee.
If the giftee is nearby, select "nearby" and choose the name of the giftee from the resulting list.
If the giftee is not nearby, click the search button from the information window. You can run a search for that person using a full or partial name. You can also select from a list of your Buddies, or type someone's name in directly.
- Confirm the gift. A gift box will go from you to the giftee and the item will now appear in his or her My Things menu.
When you give an item away, it will no longer appear in your things, and you will not be able to retrieve the item. If you wish to lend someone an item instead, try lending and retrieving.Receiving
- You will receive a flashing notification in your Message Bar, which will list the item and the giver.
- Click Accept or Decline.
- If you accept, a gift box will go from the giver to you, and the item will appear in your My Things menu. It now belongs to you! If you decline, the giver will be informed.
